What they do: Ironwood Plastics is a custom injection molder of close tolerance plastic components and specializes in producing insert and continuous molding.

How they’re growing: Phase I of the company’s current growth plan will involve a 30,000 square foot expansion, 40 new jobs and a nearly $10 million investment in equipment. This expansion will meet the company’s growth needs from 2015 to 2018. Phase II of the company’s growth plan is intended to begin in 2019 and will consist of an additional investment of up to $10 million to expand its manufacturing facility, as well as purchase and install new machinery and equipment. During phase II, the company plans to create up to 40 additional full-time positions. Phase II is projected to be completed by December 31, 2022.
