WMC Applauds Gov. Walker for Signing PLA Neutrality Bill

MADISON – Gov. Scott Walker signed 2017 Act 3 into law on Monday, which prohibits the government from requiring a contractor to sign a project labor agreement when bidding on a public project. After the bill signing, Chris Reader, WMC Director of Health and Human Resources Policy, released the following statement:
“We are proud to support Gov. Walker as he signs another bill into law protecting taxpayers and promoting the free market. This law ensures all contractors have the opportunity to compete for public projects, which will raise the quality of work and lower the cost to Wisconsinites footing the bill. Pro-growth and pro-business policies like this are key to moving Wisconsin forward.”
