Milwaukee – Six Wisconsin companies were awarded a prestigious Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards for outstanding achievements in manufacturing. The winners were announced Thursday, February 25 at a black-tie banquet honoring the 38 nominees.
The Annual Manufacturer of the Year Awards recognize Wisconsin companies that demonstrate a commitment to business excellence, which has a positive impact on the company and the state, making Wisconsin a better place to live, work, and play. “The success of these companies proves that manufacturing is alive and well and continues to be a pillar of Wisconsin’s success. These manufacturers are the backbone of our economy, and when they are strong, other industries will succeed as well,” said Kevin Heppner, Managing Partner at Baker Tilly, one of the program sponsors.
Celebrating its 28th year, the Manufacturer of the Year Award program recognizes manufacturers of all sizes and industries for all that they do to drive Wisconsin’s economy. Companies were evaluated in areas such as financial growth or consistency, technological advances, product development, environmental solutions and sustainability, operational excellence and continuous improvement, commitment to employees and effective research and development. The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges.
“Wisconsin manufacturers are responsible for sustaining our local economies,” said David Krutz, Managing Partner at Michael Best & Friedrich. “Their commitment to quality leadership in their industries and dedication to their teams continues to provide countless opportunities for individuals and families in Wisconsin to prosper.”
Four Grand Award winners, categorized by number of employees, were recognized for impeccable performance across the nomination categories. This year, Company Culture Awards were presented to two manufacturers who demonstrated a deep commitment and investment in not only their employees, but their employees’ families.
“These six companies represent the best of the best of Wisconsin’s manufacturers. All of the nominated companies are recognized around the world for their technological improvements, sustainable business practices, dedicated workforce and an unwavering commitment to their customers. We are proud to honor them through this annual awards program” said Kurt R. Bauer, President/ CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.
