John Laux joined WMC in 2021 as the Marketing & Events Coordinator, and was promoted in 2025 to the Marketing & Events Manager. He is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. During his time at UWM, John interned in marketing roles with the Wisconsin State Fair and Good Karma Brands (ESPN Radio). He was Vice President of the UWM American Marketing Association and was selected into the Lubar School of Business Scholars program and the Baird Mentoring Program.
John grew up outside of Madison and is a fan of Wisconsin collegiate and professional sports. He enjoys the Wisconsin deer hunting season, fishes on the Madison lakes and at his family’s cottage in Vilas County, and is a below-bogey golfer.
