WMC’s Scott Manley Promoted to Executive Vice President

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) announced on Monday that Scott Manley has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Government Relations, after serving as Senior Vice President since 2015.

Manley joined WMC in 2005 as Director of Environmental Policy and was promoted to Vice President of Government Relations in 2013. Prior to his time with WMC, he served more than a decade in numerous positions in the Wisconsin State Legislature.

“Scott has been an integral part of the WMC team for years,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer. “His leadership has been invaluable to growing the impact this organization has for our members at every level, and we would not be where we are today without him.”

Manley serves as WMC’s chief lobbyist and is a member of the organization’s executive team. In addition to helping pass impactful reforms for the business community over the last decade, his dedication to improving Wisconsin’s business climate has protected policies like the Manufacturing and Agricultural Tax Credit, Right to Work and other critical business reforms from being repealed.

“It is an honor and a privilege to work on behalf of our members,” said Manley. “In order for Wisconsin to be successful, our businesses need to be successful. I am humbled by this recognition and am eager to build on the work we have done to improve our state’s business climate.”

In addition to his position at WMC, Manley serves as Vice President of the Wisconsin Civil Justice Council, Vice President of the Great Lakes Legal Foundation and is a business representative on the Wisconsin Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council.
