He’s the president and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. Since the economy faltered in 2008 and became known as the Great Recession, people have been watching diligently, trying to determine whether the recession is persisting, stabilizing or ending. We’ve been deluged with conflicting statistics about jobs growth and unemployment throughout a marathon state election cycle that likely will continue in the months leading up to November. Finding sense in the data sometimes feels like reading fortunes from tea leaves that won’t sit still.
