Short-sighted special interests are trying to stall the Manufacturing and Agricultural Tax Credit before it is fully implemented. The policy, strongly supported by WMC back in 2011, is already bringing businesses over our border, but some lawmakers say they want to raise taxes and grow government spending instead.
The credit would eliminate almost all income taxes for manufacturers next year, by far our state’s biggest industry.
