MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association – noted on Wednesday that the state is ready for new leadership and a return to policies that put Wisconsin’s economy first.
Following yesterday’s Primary Election for Governor, WMC President & CEO Kurt R. Bauer released the below statement:
“Wisconsin is falling behind other states in critical metrics that drive economic growth. Tim Michels understands that a competitive business climate incentivizes private sector investment that, in turn, ignites greater economic activity and broad-based prosperity for Wisconsinites across the state.
“We need a governor who can work with the business community, lawmakers and many other stakeholders to address the state’s biggest challenges like the acute workforce shortage, rising crime and falling test scores in K-12 schools. Tim will be that governor.”
