MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) — the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association — announced that Steve Mason has joined the organization as its new director of finance & human resources. Mason is a seasoned trade association professional and brings years of strategic operations, personnel, & finance experience to WMC.
“Steve is a natural fit for WMC, and we are beyond excited for him to join the team,” said WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “His years of trade association experience, as well as his strategic operations and finance expertise, will be invaluable in WMC’s continued effort to make Wisconsin the most competitive state in the nation.”
Mason spent nearly a decade and a half at Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, where he started as the general accountant before rising through the ranks and becoming the organization’s Treasurer & Executive Director of Operations. Most recently, Mason was the Chief Financial Officer for an organization that provided energy services and assistance to low-income Wisconsin families.

A Wisconsin native, Mason lives in Dane County and is a proud husband and father of two.
