MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) President & CEO Kurt R. Bauer released the below statement in response to recent attack ads from Gov. Tony Evers and allied organizations that unfairly disparage the Michels Corporation – a family-owned business that employs thousands of people.
“It is shocking to see Tony Evers and his allies attacking a private Wisconsin business in an attempt to score cheap political points. Gov. Evers has set a low bar for the discourse in this race, but it is unfortunately not surprising given his record of saying anything to distract Wisconsinites from his efforts to raise taxes, worsen inflation and destroy our economy.”
