Six Members of Congressional Delegation Earn Manufacturing Award

MADISON – The state’s largest business group praised six members of the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation for their support of manufacturing jobs during the 112th Congress.

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), the State Chamber, praised U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Oshkosh), U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Weston), U.S. Rep. Tom Petri (R-Fond du Lac), U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble (R-Appleton), U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) and U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Menomonee Falls) for earning the Manufacturing Legislative Excellence Award from the Washington, DC-based National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).

“Lawmakers who stand with manufacturers also stand with family supporting manufacturing jobs,” said Kurt R. Bauer, WMC president/CEO. “A thriving manufacturing sector creates a thriving middle class. It also protects America’s economic and national security.”

NAM presents the award to lawmakers who vote 70 percent or greater in support of pro-manufacturing legislation. Click here to see the full NAM legislative scorecard for the 112th Congress.
