MADISON – After the Wisconsin State Assembly passed legislation relating to Foxconn’s investment in the state, WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer released the following statement:
“Wisconsin is one step closer to realizing the promise of creating thousands of family-supporting, high technology manufacturing jobs. Every Wisconsinite should be proud that our state was selected over many others that were capable of putting much larger incentive packages on the table. But Wisconsin won the prize because of our superior business climate, industrious workforce, world-class educational institutions, proximity to transportation hubs and our pro-growth governor.
“If ever there was a bill that should have received broad bi-partisan support, it is this one. The fact that it didn’t is truly unfortunate. Still, WMC praises lawmakers who voted for the Foxconn bill.”
