Nominations Open for Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards

MADISON – To kick off Manufacturing Month, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), in partnership with Baker Tilly and Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, today announced that nominations are now open for the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards, a premier program recognizing Wisconsin manufacturers that demonstrate exceptional performance, innovation, and leadership in their industries and communities.

For more than three decades, the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards have celebrated the companies that make Wisconsin a national leader in manufacturing. Wisconsin manufacturers are responsible for contributing $73.8 billion to the state’s GDP, generating an estimated $46.4 billion in earnings for manufacturing workers.

“Manufacturing is the backbone of Wisconsin’s economy and remains a driving force behind job creation, innovation, and prosperity across our state,” said Kurt R. Bauer, President/CEO of WMC. “The Manufacturer of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to recognize the outstanding companies and individuals who are strengthening Wisconsin’s manufacturing heritage and building its future.”

Manufacturers headquartered or operating in Wisconsin are encouraged to apply. Winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges made up of trusted leaders from Wisconsin’s manufacturing, education, and business communities. Four Grand Award winners – based on company presence in Wisconsin – will be recognized for their impeccable performance across all benchmarks. Additionally, the program includes a Spotlight Award track to recognize specialized excellence in a specific category: Business Resilience & Growth, Community Impact & Investment, Excellence in Product & Process Innovation, or Commitment to Workforce.

WMC promotes the awards as an effective way for companies to celebrate their teams, build their brand, inspire others, and create momentum.

“Wisconsin manufacturers continue to find new ways to compete and succeed in a rapidly changing global marketplace,” said Bauer. “These awards shine a spotlight on organizations that are not only delivering exceptional products and services but are also investing in their employees, communities and the long-term strength of our state’s economy.”

While nominations will close on Oct. 30, applications will be accepted through Dec 3. Winners will be honored at the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards ceremony and gala on Feb. 18 at The Pfister in Milwaukee.
