WMC Statement on Senate Majority Leader LeMahieu’s Retirement from the Wisconsin State Senate

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) Executive Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley released the following statement after Wisconsin State Senate Majority Leader LeMahieu announced he will not seek reelection in 2026, after serving as Leader since 2021:

“Leader LeMahieu has been a trusted ally and advocate in our shared effort to make Wisconsin the most competitive state in the nation to do business. Serving as a senator since 2015, LeMahieu has been a champion of regulatory reform. Specifically, LeMahieu authored and led the effort to enact the historic REINS (Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny) Act, ensuring that Wisconsin taxpayers have a say in the rulemaking process. Leader LeMahieu’s leadership will be missed, and WMC thanks him for his years of public service and dedication to free enterprise. We wish Leader LeMahieu and his family all the best in the future.”
