Company: Hydratight
Location: Antigo (Langlade County)
Founded in: 1988
What they do: Hydratight provides world-class bolted joint solutions and machining services, plus innovative mechanical weldless connectors, to the power generation, oil and gas, nuclear, wind and aerospace industries. Over the last 20 years, the company has pioneered systems for complete joint integrity assurance that are now incorporated in industry-wide safe-working guidelines around the world.
How they’re growing: Hydratight is expanding its Antigo facility by 16,500 square feet to increase its manufacturing capabilities to accommodate future growth. The expansion will initially create up to 12 additional jobs at the site, which currently employs around 50 people in manufacturing, engineering, sales and support roles.
The expansion is part of a wider regional strategic shift by parent company Actuant Corp. to enhance its factory output, product sales and rental, and service provision from the northern U.S. In addition to its torque product line, the expansion also will enable Hydratight to supply pipe cutting and beveling clams, milling and keyway cutters, and boring bars to its customers.
What they’re saying: “The introduction of increased manufacturing in Antigo will mean we have greater agility with faster access to key product components.” – Todd Stensberg, manufacturing leader, Hydratight
A Success Story: Hydratight
