WMC continues to be involved in efforts to locate an intermodal container terminal in the metro Milwaukee area. Ocean shippers today generate four times the revenue on imports as they do on exports. Identifying Wisconsin importers who could pool a significant container volume (through a non-disclosure agreement) would allow for enough imports to help determine which steamship lines would be needed to make a Milwaukee terminal function.
