New Report Shows Wisconsin Manufacturing Indispensable

Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce released a new report detailing the state’s exports, workforce, and international relations. From WMC’s perspective, the report reiterates the importance of manufacturing for the state’s economy.

“This is the indispensable, super-sector for Wisconsin,” shared WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer. “And we wanted to know what was going on as it relates to the tariffs and trade renegotiation and what’s at stake.”

The report notes that Wisconsin’s largest trade partners are Canada, Mexico, and China.

“The report reinforces that the industrial Midwest is the supply chain of the world. It is impressive, and we want to keep it robust as an economic and national security imperative.”
