MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) announced on Tuesday that John Laux has been promoted to Marketing & Events Manager.
Laux joined WMC in 2021 as Marketing & Events Coordinator after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Since joining WMC, John has consistently taken on more responsibilities, including playing a significant role in WMC’s 2024 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award event.
“John has been an invaluable member of the WMC team for over four years, and his promotion to Marketing and Events Manager is well deserved,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer. “His dedication, strong work ethic, and steadfast loyalty to WMC make John’s promotion an easy decision for our team. We are excited about John’s future and look forward to his continued success.”
John grew up outside Madison and is a Wisconsin collegiate and professional sports fan. He enjoys the Wisconsin deer hunting season, fishes on the Madison lakes and at his family’s cottage in Vilas County, and is a below-bogey golfer.
