WMC Urges Gov. Evers to Sign Bipartisan State Budget that Provides Billions in Tax Relief

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association – called on Gov. Tony Evers Wednesday to sign the bipartisan budget bill passed recently by both houses of the State Legislature.

While the governor contemplates what action to take on the budget bill, WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer released the following statement:

“After the biggest economic downturn in a century, Wisconsin’s businesses and families deserve a spending plan that puts them first – and that is what this bipartisan budget does. In addition to saving the average family $1,200 in taxes, this fiscally responsible plan further invests in educating our next generation while working to attract and retain the top talent our employers so desperately need. WMC and our members urge Gov. Evers to sign the budget in its entirety, which will help our economy bounce back even quicker.”
