Each year, following the over-eating on Thanksgiving, the long lines on Black Friday and the constant refreshing of your web browser on Cyber Monday, non-profits all across the country celebrate Giving Tuesday! This year, the WMC Foundation is asking that you take a couple minutes out of your day to join the Business World 100 in honor of Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28, 2017.
Simply fill out the form below and commit to donating $100. That is all it takes to make a difference. Our goal is for 100 individuals, corporations or other organizations to donate $100 each in an effort to raise $10,000 for the Wisconsin Business World Program.
Business World – one of the premiere programs of the WMC Foundation – works throughout the year to provide economic and financial literacy education to high school students while teaching them the importance of the free-market model. Hundreds of students participate in two summer camps held each year, and even more attend one-day Business World “Minis” throughout the state during the school year. This program, however, is not possible without the generous support of donors like you.
WMC Foundation is looking for 100 caring donors to meet our goal of $10,000 on Giving Tuesday. That money is just a fraction of the cost for one of the four-day summer camps. That is why your support is needed today!
Where will your donation go?
WMC Foundation is proud to say that your donation will directly impact a high school student that attends a summer program or “Mini” during the school year. Most students are able to attend these programs at little to no cost because of donations like these that cover housing for the summer camps, meals during the programs, transportation, top-notch instructors and all the little things needed for a successful program.
For every $2,500 raised, it will allow 10 students to attend one of the summer camps for absolutely no cost. If 100 donors give $100, that will completely cover the cost of two Business World “Mini” programs, impacting 200 students!
PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TODAY.
Join the Business World 100 today, and every dollar you give to this valuable program will be 100% tax-deductible
What is Wisconsin Business World?
Students who attend a Business World program take home a variety of lessons that will help them better understand how businesses work, their impact on the economy and the importance of managing money. The program includes lectures about economics and the history of free enterprise, but also puts students in the driver seat of their very own business. What the students learn in the class can be directly linked to what they learn during their business simulation – which requires each team to develop a product, market it and manage all aspects of their very own company.
