First Aid/CPR/AED Basic Course Overview

Our Emergency Care courses will teach basic life saving techniques through First Aid and CPR. The Wisconsin Safety Council’s Emergency Care Courses provide a comprehensive curriculum to teach the skills to maintain the life of a victim until emergency medical personnel arrive.

Our comprehensive courses have been designed using extensive research and educational testing to improve skill mastery and long-term retention. Courses are taught in a dynamic and hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum and content from the expert in occupational first aid training. And when your employees complete their NSC First Aid training, you can rest easy knowing that they have gained the skills and confidence they need to respond in an emergency.

• Recognize a medical emergency
• Handle breathing and cardiac emergencies
• Act appropriately and effectively, and sustain life until professional help arrives

First Aid/CPR/AED Train-the-Trainer Course Overview

Knowing how to respond to a medical emergency is one of the most important skills a person can possess. The NSC First Aid, CPR & AED course meets the OSHA requirements and is your tool for training employees or the general public on the latest skills, techniques and expertise in life-saving procedures. The practice and feedback of using related skills in a realistic situation is integrated into the actual teaching experience and are taught in a dynamic and hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum.

In addition to the NSC First Aid, CPR & AED course Candidate Instructors will learn:

Upon successful completion, you will be required to sign a Training Center/Instructor agreement.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Basic Course you’ll earn .55 CEUs from the Wisconsin Safety Council.
Train-the-Trainer Course you’ll 1.30 earn CEUs from the Wisconsin Safety Council.
Certificates: Participants are given the National Safety Council two-year certificate for CPR and a three-year certificate for first aid.
