John (“Jack”) Orton joined WMC as the director of the Business World Education Program and Future Wisconsin Project in September of 2016.

He works with high schools, chambers of commerce, and Wisconsin businesses organizing business education events all around the state.

Born and raised in Mauston, WI, Jack completed undergraduate study at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the University of Oxford.

During his undergraduate years, he spent his summers working in the Wisconsin Dells as well as Washington D.C., once for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

At Holy Cross he founded the first debate society on campus, hosted a weekly radio broadcast, contributed to various campus publications, and was an active member of several on-campus student organizations. At Oxford, he was a member of the Oxford Law Society and the Oxford Union.

He received his B.A. in history after three years at Holy Cross in May 2016.
