Miles Kimball Company Celebrates 5 Million Hours Worked Without a Lost Time Accident

Cake, fruit and t-shirts were part of a celebration of a significant milestone for Miles Kimball Company.  Team members of the company have worked 5 million hours since their last lost time accident which occurred in May of 2008.
“The team should be extremely proud of their accomplishments” stated Jim Eckberg, Facilities and Safety Leader. “Team member involvement and a proactive approach to safety promotes a safety culture that is continuously improving the work environment and reducing risk”.  “Everyone takes ownership for their actions while looking out for each other” commented Casey Hintz, Safety Committee Leader. “No one is afraid to point out an unsafe behavior or situation, and that allows for quick corrective action for improvement.”
In April of 2012, the Wisconsin Council of Safety awarded Miles Kimball an “Excellence in Safety” certificate for the 2011 calendar year for their outstanding safety record and programs.  “We hope to build upon these two great accomplishments while continuing our main goal of ensuring that each and every team member returns home safely at the end of their shift” added Kelly Dakins, HR Generalist.

Miles Kimball Company located in Oshkosh, a subsidiary of Blyth, Inc., is a multi-channel merchant with brands including Miles Kimball, Walter Drake, Exposures, Easy Comforts, and As We Change.
