The Business Friend of the Environment Awards highlight what Wisconsin companies are doing in the areas of pollution prevention, innovative technology and environmental stewardship. The Wisconsin Environmental Working Group®, an affiliate of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, sponsors the event.
The goal of this awards program is to demonstrate to state policymakers, businesses and the public that sound environmental practices are good for Wisconsin and its business environment.
Winners are selected by an independent judging panel with representatives from industry, the Department of Natural Resources, and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
The 2010 WEWG Environmental Policy and Awards Conference was held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the Country Springs Conference Center in Pewaukee. Attendees heard from industry experts about environmental policies and the impact they have on your business.
